I-SEA believes that Luke Wallace is a significant voice of his generation, a voice that demonstrably appeals to all ages. We are so proud of our association with Luke, as his personal calling is so clearly aligned with the mission of our organization, to mobilize action and foster education around sustainability and climate change.
Luke Wallace’s songs and stories inspire love and hope for the environment. His latest project aims to support the intersectional movement of grassroots communities pushing for real ecological action. The project is named after his song, ‘Dandelion Resistance.’ Like sunny faces shining in dark spaces, ordinary dandelions resist being obliterated by the spreading pavements of our consumer culture. They poke through cracks and remind us of Nature’s resilience. Building on Luke’s many talents and history of creative environmental activism, the project has three components:
Luke is the spokesperson for the National Youth Climate Award now in its fourth year. The Award recognizes youthful change agents that are doing amazing work in their schools and neighbourhoods and helping us all push back against climate despair.
The Dandelion Resistance is not political but ecological. It is missionary work but not religious. It is inspiring, educational, and inclusive. Call it grassroots with a global perspective.
Would you like to join the chorus of soaring voices seeking to heal our planet? Let’s support the work of Luke and his inspired collaborators as they sing the gospel of global change.
